This Privacy Policy explains how Digital Tales, LLC (doing business as Best Senior Living) (“Best Senior Living,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, purchase or use our digital courses and products, or use our applications and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1) WHAT WE COLLECT
We collect information in three ways: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
Information you provide. You may provide your name, email address, phone number, account/login details, purchase details, customer support messages, and any information you choose to submit in forms, checklists, or tools within the Services.
Information you enter about other people. Because our Services help families navigate senior care logistics, you may choose to enter information about an aging parent or another person (for example, preferences, living situation considerations, scheduling details, or decision notes). You represent that you have the right to provide that information.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we may collect device and usage data such as IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP), and interactions with our emails or site.
Information from third parties. We receive information from vendors that help us run the Services, including payment confirmation and limited transaction details from Stripe and PayPal, and advertising/analytics signals when you interact with our ads.
2) SENSITIVE INFORMATION AND HEALTH DATA
Our Services are educational and decision-support tools; they are not medical services. At this time, our initial applications are not designed to store sensitive personal medical information. You should not enter diagnosis details, medical record numbers, insurance IDs, or similarly sensitive clinical information into our tools unless we explicitly request it for a specific feature and clearly explain how it will be used and protected.
3) HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to provide and operate the Services, create and manage accounts, deliver digital course/product access, process payments and send receipts, provide customer support, communicate about updates and offers, analyze and improve performance, secure the Services, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
4) HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We share information only as needed for legitimate business operations:
Service providers. We use vendors for hosting, analytics, customer support, email delivery, fraud prevention, and other operational functions. They may process information for us under contractual obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. We generally do not store full payment card details. Your payment information is handled under the payment provider’s policies and security controls.
Advertising and marketing partners. If we run ads, we may use pixels/tags and similar tools provided by platforms such as Meta and X to measure performance, understand conversions, and (where enabled) support targeted advertising. These tools may collect or receive information about your device and your interactions with our site. Your choices are described in Section 6.
Legal, safety, and rights. We may disclose information if required by law, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, and to enforce agreements.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not rent your email list to strangers. We do not sell personal information in the “here’s a database, good luck” sense.
5) COOKIES, PIXELS, AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, preferences, analytics, and advertising measurement. Some cookies are required for the Services to function. Others are optional and used for analytics and ad measurement/targeting.
6) YOUR CHOICES
Marketing emails. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email. Transactional messages (receipts, access instructions, security notices) are not marketing.
Cookies and tracking. You can limit cookies via your browser settings. You can also limit ad targeting via your settings on Meta and X, and by using device-level advertising preference controls (where available). If you block cookies or scripts, parts of the Services may not function as intended.
U.S. state privacy opt-outs (where applicable). Some state laws treat certain ad-related disclosures as “sharing” for targeted advertising. If you want to opt out of targeted advertising-based sharing, contact us (Section 11) and we will honor requests as required by applicable law and our technical capabilities.
7) DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose.
8) SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9) THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The Services may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
10) CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
11) YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or to object to or restrict certain processing. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
To exercise privacy rights, contact us using the details below with the subject line “Privacy Request.”
12) INTERNATIONAL USERS
If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where our vendors operate.
13) CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
